Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using the ReceiptLens mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

These Terms apply to all users, including those on the Free Plan and Pro Plan. We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated with at least 14 days' notice.

ReceiptLens is operated by ReceiptLens ("we," "us," "our"). For questions, contact support@receiptlens.store.

ReceiptLens is a personal expense-tracking tool. You may use it to scan, organise, and analyse your own receipts and expenses. By using the App, you agree to:

• Provide accurate account information and keep it up to date
• Use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms
• Not attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or circumvent any security feature
• Not use the App to process receipts belonging to others without their consent
• Not upload illegal, fraudulent, or deceptive content
• Not attempt to overload or interfere with App infrastructure

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms without notice.

ReceiptLens offers two plans:

Free Plan receipt limits reset on the 1st of each calendar month. Receipts already saved are never deleted when you reach the limit — only adding new receipts is restricted until the month resets or you upgrade.

Prices are in USD. All prices are subject to applicable taxes where required by law.

Pro Plan subscriptions are processed through the Google Play Store. By subscribing, you agree to Google Play's payment terms in addition to these Terms.

• Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual) unless cancelled
• Billing: Your Google Play account is charged at confirmation of purchase and at the start of each renewal period
• Price changes: We will notify you at least 30 days before any price increase. You may cancel before the new price takes effect.
• Free trials: If a free trial is offered, you will not be charged until the trial period ends. Cancel before the trial ends to avoid charges.
• Restore Purchases: If you reinstall the App or change devices, use "Restore Purchases" in the Profile tab to recover your Pro status.

You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time. Here's what happens when you cancel:

• Your Pro access continues until the end of the current paid billing period
• You will not be charged for the next billing period
• Your account reverts to the Free Plan at the end of the paid period
• All your receipts and data are retained — nothing is deleted when you downgrade
• You can re-subscribe at any time to regain Pro access

How to cancel: Open Google Play Store → My subscriptions → ReceiptLens → Cancel subscription. Alternatively, go to play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions.

Refund policy: Refunds are subject to Google Play's refund policy. For refund requests, contact Google Play support directly. We may, at our discretion, offer refunds within 48 hours of a charge if you contact us at support@receiptlens.store.

The App, including its code, design, interface, and branding, is owned by ReceiptLens and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain full ownership of all receipt images and data you upload to the App. By using the App, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and process your content solely to provide the service to you.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App or its content without our written permission.

Disclaimer of Warranties. The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

Limitation of Liability. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ReceiptLens shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business, arising out of or related to your use of the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

AI Accuracy. AI-powered receipt data extraction may produce errors. You acknowledge that extracted amounts, dates, and merchant names require your verification before use in any financial, tax, accounting, or legal context. ReceiptLens is not liable for decisions made based on inaccurate AI extraction.

Data Loss. While we implement robust backups and security measures, we are not liable for accidental data loss. We strongly recommend regularly exporting your reports using the PDF export feature.

Maximum Liability. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or cause harm to other users or the service. We will notify you where possible, except in cases of severe or immediate harm.

You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@receiptlens.store. Upon termination, your data will be deleted from our servers within 30 days in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App that cannot be resolved informally shall be subject to binding arbitration.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
